In Greek mythology, the first king of the gods, Uranus, was overthrown by his son Cronus. To avoid the same fate, Cronus swallowed all his children. However, his youngest son Zeus was saved by his mother Rhea. As an adult, Zeus forced Cronus to regurgitate his siblings and led them in a great war against the Titans, ultimately overthrowing his father to become the third king of the gods and establishing the Olympian pantheon.
